Mepilex Transfer by Molnlycke is a soft silicone foam transfer dressing designed to manage exudate from wounds while protecting delicate skin during home care. This primary wound contact layer works by drawing fluid away from the wound and transferring it vertically to a secondary absorbent dressing, helping to maintain a moist healing environment and reduce the risk of skin maceration. The 15cm x 20cm size is ideal for larger wounds or difficult-to-dress areas, and the dressing is thin, flexible and highly conformable, making it easy to apply even in awkward spots. Mepilex Transfer features Safetac technology, a gentle silicone contact layer that moulds softly to skin without sticking to the moist wound bed, so removal is less painful and causes minimal trauma to healing tissue and surrounding skin. This makes dressing changes more comfortable for patients managing chronic wounds at home, including venous leg ulcers, large wounds, or areas with fragile skin. The dressing can be cut to fit various wound shapes and can stay in place for up to seven days, though the secondary cover dressing may be changed more frequently as needed. Each box contains five sterile dressings, providing convenient supply for ongoing wound care at home.
