AQUACEL Foam Dressing Non Adhesive by Convatec is a soft, absorbent foam wound dressing designed to support healing in moderate to heavily draining wounds at home. This sterile dressing measures 15cm x 20cm (6 inches x 8 inches) and comes in a box of five, offering reliable protection for a variety of wound types including pressure injuries, surgical wounds, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and partial-thickness burns. The unique Hydrofiber technology works by gelling on contact with wound fluid to create a moist healing environment that helps protect delicate new tissue. The foam pad absorbs excess fluid while the special Hydrofiber layer locks in wound drainage and prevents it from spreading sideways, reducing the risk of skin irritation and maceration around the wound. Because this is a non-adhesive version, it's gentle on sensitive or fragile skin and requires additional tape or bandaging to secure in place. The waterproof outer layer acts as a barrier against bacteria and allows patients to shower or bathe while wearing the dressing, making it practical for daily life at home. The dressing can stay in place for up to seven days depending on the wound, which means fewer dressing changes and less disruption to healing.
