Biatain Ibu
Proven efficacy for painful exudating wounds at dressing change and persistant daily pain. Biatain Ibu combines superior exudates management with the local (nonsystemic) continuous release of ibuprofen for improved patient outcomes.

Areas of Use:
  • Painful exudating wounds
  • Leg/Vascular ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Non-infected diabetic foot ulcers
  • Second degree burns
  • Donor sites
  • Postoperative wounds
  • Skin abrasions
  • Suitable for use in combination with compression therapy

Biatain Ibu combines superior exudate management and continuous release of ibuprofen. Biatain Ibu releases ibuprofen locally with no observed systemic effect. In the presence of exudate, there is a sustained release of a low dose of ibuprofen into the wound bed throughout the wear time of the dressing. One dressing (10 x 10 cm) contains 50 mg of ibuprofen which is continuously released for up to 7 days in proportion to the level of exudate.

Biatain Ibu Non-Adhesive Foam Dressing
  • Superior Exudate Management
  • Suitable for use on fragile skin due to absence of adhesive
  • Well tolerated with no observed systemic effect
Biatain-Ibu Non-Adhesive Foam Dressing from Coloplast helps reduce wound pain while promoting moist wound healing for a more comfortable recovery at home. This soft and flexible foam dressing contains ibuprofen evenly dispersed throughout the material, providing local pain relief directly to painful exuding wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, second-degree burns, and post-operative wounds. When the dressing comes into contact with wound fluid, it releases a low dose of ibuprofen continuously for up to seven days, helping to ease discomfort during wear and at dressing changes. The unique 3D foam structure conforms to the wound bed for superior absorption, managing exudate effectively even under compression bandaging. This Coloplast Biatain-Ibu dressing measures 8 inches by 8 inches (20 cm x 20 cm) and comes in a box of 5 non-adhesive dressings, making it easy to manage wound care at home without the need for frequent changes. The bevelled edges reduce the risk of pressure marks, while the soft polyurethane foam delivers high comfort for sensitive skin. Because the ibuprofen is released locally with no observed systemic effects, it offers a safe and effective option for anyone managing chronic or acute wounds at home. Suitable for use in combination with compression therapy, this foam dressing supports both pain management and healing in one trusted product.
