Biatain Ibu
Proven efficacy for painful exudating wounds at dressing change and persistant daily pain. Biatain Ibu combines superior exudates management with the local (nonsystemic) continuous release of ibuprofen for improved patient outcomes.

Areas of Use:
  • Painful exudating wounds
  • Leg/Vascular ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Non-infected diabetic foot ulcers
  • Second degree burns
  • Donor sites
  • Postoperative wounds
  • Skin abrasions
  • Suitable for use in combination with compression therapy

Biatain Ibu combines superior exudate management and continuous release of ibuprofen. Biatain Ibu releases ibuprofen locally with no observed systemic effect. In the presence of exudate, there is a sustained release of a low dose of ibuprofen into the wound bed throughout the wear time of the dressing. One dressing (10 x 10 cm) contains 50 mg of ibuprofen which is continuously released for up to 7 days in proportion to the level of exudate.

Biatain Ibu Non-Adhesive Foam Dressing
  • Superior Exudate Management
  • Suitable for use on fragile skin due to absence of adhesive
  • Well tolerated with no observed systemic effect
The Biatain-Ibu foam dressing with ibuprofen from Coloplast offers superior absorption and pain relief for people managing painful, exuding wounds at home. This soft and flexible non-adhesive foam dressing is designed for those dealing with leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, second-degree burns, and post-operative wounds where persistent pain can slow healing and affect quality of life. The unique 3D foam structure conforms gently to the wound bed, absorbing exudate effectively even under compression, while continuously releasing a low dose of ibuprofen directly into the wound for up to seven days. This local pain relief works without systemic effects, providing comfort where you need it most. Each dressing measures 10cm by 20cm and contains ibuprofen homogeneously dispersed throughout the foam, which activates when it comes into contact with wound fluid. The bevelled edges help reduce pressure marks, and the dressing is suitable for use with compression therapy. This box of five sterile dressings combines moist wound healing with active pain management, helping caregivers provide gentle, effective care for loved ones dealing with chronic or acute wounds. Clinical studies have shown that Biatain-Ibu reduces wound pain compared to standard dressings, making it a trusted choice for home wound care when comfort and healing matter most.
