Biatain Ibu
Proven efficacy for painful exudating wounds at dressing change and persistant daily pain. Biatain Ibu combines superior exudates management with the local (nonsystemic) continuous release of ibuprofen for improved patient outcomes.

Areas of Use:
  • Painful exudating wounds
  • Leg/Vascular ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Non-infected diabetic foot ulcers
  • Second degree burns
  • Donor sites
  • Postoperative wounds
  • Skin abrasions
  • Suitable for use in combination with compression therapy

Biatain Ibu combines superior exudate management and continuous release of ibuprofen. Biatain Ibu releases ibuprofen locally with no observed systemic effect. In the presence of exudate, there is a sustained release of a low dose of ibuprofen into the wound bed throughout the wear time of the dressing. One dressing (10 x 10 cm) contains 50 mg of ibuprofen which is continuously released for up to 7 days in proportion to the level of exudate.

Biatain Ibu Non-Adhesive Foam Dressing
  • Superior Exudate Management
  • Suitable for use on fragile skin due to absence of adhesive
  • Well tolerated with no observed systemic effect
Biatain-Ibu foam dressing with ibuprofen from Coloplast offers gentle pain relief and superior wound care for painful exuding wounds managed at home. This soft and flexible absorbent foam dressing combines advanced moisture management with continuous pain relief, making it ideal for caregivers managing leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-infected diabetic foot ulcers, and second-degree burns. The unique 3D foam structure absorbs wound drainage effectively while releasing ibuprofen directly into the wound bed for up to seven days. Each 4 inch by 4 inch non-adhesive dressing contains a low dose of ibuprofen that is released gradually when it comes into contact with wound fluid, helping to ease pain during both wear time and dressing changes without systemic effects. The Biatain-Ibu dressing is designed for comfort at home with bevelled edges that reduce pressure marks and a flexible design that conforms to the body. This box contains five individually wrapped sterile dressings, each measuring 10 x 10 cm. Clinical studies have shown that foam dressings with ibuprofen help reduce wound pain compared to standard foam dressings, supporting better quality of life during the healing process. Suitable for use under compression bandaging, Biatain-Ibu delivers gentle, effective wound care that keeps you or your loved one more comfortable throughout recovery.
