This standard wear barrier features Coloplast's unique spiral pectin-based adhesive that offers gentle, skin-friendly wear while staying firmly in place throughout the day. The pre-cut design with a 5/8 inch stoma opening makes application simple and stress-free, while the deep convex shape applies moderate pressure to help the stoma protrude, reducing the risk of leakage for those with flush stomas, deep skin folds, or scarring around the ostomy site. The Assura barrier uses an easy-to-use mechanical coupling system with a color-coded green flange that clicks audibly when locked to your pouch, giving you reassurance that everything is secure. You can rotate the pouch into a comfortable position before locking it in place, and the design works equally well whether you're left- or right-handed. Pre-attached belt loops provide added stability if you need extra support during daily activities. The barrier can stay in place longer than the pouch, so you can change pouches more frequently without removing the barrier itself, which is gentler on your skin.
